Shattering the Stigmas of Mental Health

June Chay, AMFT, Oak Health Foundation
Session 1

The stigmas that people experience prevent seeking appropriate help regarding severe mental illness. Sometimes even one’s faith values include inaccurate conclusions about the meaning, the treatment and the hopelessness regarding mental illness. We need to shatter these stigmas in order for those who are suffering to begin their healing process and reach the greatest potential.

Maybe You’re the Problem?

Pastor David Pham
Session 1

Being a leader doesn't come as easy as we've all come to know.  We spend time committing to a position when we have little to no experience and sometimes that shows in the outcome.  In the process we realize our inconsistencies.  This self-awareness is a process in your spiritual formation.  Who you are as a person, your character, affects your relationship with God which ultimately affects your leadership. Take a step back to process who you are.  Use them as a starting point to develop your spiritual life and leadership skills.

Worldviews Collide: Comparing and Contrasting Buddhism, Islam, and Christianity

Thay Nghia Tran
Session 1

Discover how Christianity provides a unique and compelling worldview that sets it apart from other major religions. In this workshop, we'll survey Buddhism and Islam, examining how their beliefs and practices differ from those of  Christianity. Through interactive discussions and presentations, we'll explore how the Christian worldview offers a coherent and rational perspective on life, death, and the human condition, providing a foundation for a meaningful and purposeful existence. Whether you're new to Christianity or have been a lifelong believer, this workshop offers a deeper understanding of what sets it apart from other worldviews and why it makes sense as a framework for navigating the complexities of the world we live in.

Worship Seminar: Prepare.Present.Practice

Philip Thi, Tony Van, Hien Nguyen & Peter Duong
Session 1 & 2

There are a lot of activities and decisions related to worship beyond selecting and singing songs. Some of it occurs before, during, and after our service.  Our previous sessions focused on what worship is, now we will see how it works in our unique church context, week to week. Join us as we discuss practical insights into worship preparation, song and music planning, on-stage presence, and off-stage life.

Fostering a Disciple-Making Culture: A Guide for Pastors and Leaders

Pastor Bumble Ho

Transformers
Teaching for Life Change

Long Nguyen & Teddy Nguyen
Session 2

Sometimes we wonder if we make a difference at all when we teach. It could be a Sunday school lesson or leading a small group. Are we just passing information or are we transforming lives? In this workshop, we will evaluate and discover how Jesus taught and learn to imitate His motives, movements and methods.

Church Publications, Website, & Communications
for Beginners

Elaine Tran
Session 2

Learn how to make flyers, build or maintain a website, and create a communication plan for your church events! This is a basic session using Canva and SquareSpace but can be very powerful tools for your ministry. Please create a free Canva account prior to the session.

Shepherding Your Child’s Heart

Pastor Martin & Judy Johns
Session 2

Often as parents, we correct our children’s behaviors while neglecting their hearts, from which everything they do flows (Prov 4:23). In this seminar we will look at how we can guide and direct our child’s heart toward the Lord, bringing a change from the inside out.

On Communion with God

Pastor Jonathan Lee
Session 2

A long time ago, John Owen wrote “On Communion with God” which highlighted the purpose for which the believer was made, is currently enjoying and will delight in forever. We were created, redeemed and will one day be glorified to enjoy the Triune God for all eternity. The great adventure of the Christian life is to savor the glimpses that the Holy Spirit communicates to us of the goodness that the Father has prepared for us as we grow in the fullness of the salvation won by Christ.

Learn more about how communion is more than a meal we partake in once a month at church, or even once a week as we gather with the saints but rather a description of the life of every believer growing in relationship with God now and forever.
