Session 1

  • Rika Lopez, LMFT, Oak Health Foundation

Food, money, sex, porn, shopping, drugs, iPhones, Instagram…you name it! These things are everywhere, anywhere, anyplace and can easily consume you, your time, your money, your soul without any plans in place. How about joining this workshop on “Addictions with Jesus” to recognize some patterns and behaviors that may be impeding your growth and intimacy with Jesus? Any step to sobriety and recovery always starts with self-awareness and self-understanding. So let’s take that first step in simply learning together in a non-judgmental and safe environment whether it’s for yourself or your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Jesus fights with you and for you, for your freedom, restoration, and healing.

  • Pastor Hung Pham

We often call our spouses our "significant others" or "better halves," but do we really treat them as if they are more important than us, as if they are better than ourselves? In this workshop, we will revisit the biblical foundation for marriage and discuss practical ways to honor our spouses and enjoy a more fulfilling marital relationship.

  • Pastor Donald Phan

You have heard that question, perhaps asked it yourself, especially in the wake of the international conflict and war with all the senseless violence and suffering. No matter how you ask the question, at its root lies the issue of pain. Does God order our suffering, or did He simply wind up the world's mainspring and now is watching from a distance? In this workshop, we will learn that God is neither capricious nor unconcerned. We will also look at pain - physical, emotional, and spiritual - and find our bearing to understand why we suffer.

Session 2

10:45 AM - 11:45 AM PT | 1:45 PM - 2:45 PM ET

  • Pastor Jonathan Lee

We all have a worldview or way of seeing and interpreting the world. Not only do we all have a way of seeing the world but a reason for the commitments which we hold that make up that worldview, whether we have thought about it or not. Come and learn about the clash between two (and only two) worldviews: the Christian and non-Christian approach and that the only way we can consistently approach faith and all of life is when we build our worldview upon the authority of Scripture.

  • Pastor Peter Doan

I saw a headline recently that said, "75% of the time we spend with our kids in our lifetime will be spent by age 12." If that's true, the time we have to share our faith with our children has a time limit. But the million dollar question is, HOW?!?! How do we Christ-centered conversations with our kids before it's too late and we run out of time? In our time together, we'll spend some time in the Word to ground us in our "why" and also discuss some of the "how" as we talk about the needs of our kids and the importance of putting Christ at the center of our conversations with our kids.

  • Andrew Nguyen

The shape of our worship matters. In a world competing for our identity, we, Christians, need to ground ourselves in the truth of God’s Word. In our daily devotions, we can start by looking to God’s law as His will for our lives, humbly professing our inadequacies, and receiving the assurance of pardon from our merciful God. Whether you have been consistent in your devotions or not, all are welcomed to come and seek how we can humbly ground ourselves in our time with Jesus.
